The Fuchi and Kashira are made from 1 mm copper sheet.
First a ring is bent and soldered whose inner cross section should match the handle. A corresponding oval piece is also made from copper.

To create the Fuchi blank the oval piece is soldered in one side of the ring.

The sides of the Fuchi will be decorated.
For that purpose petals from brass will be inserted in holes - here the are already drilled.

The petals are made from a 3 mm brass rod and inserted in the Fuchi.

I used a oxyde stain called "Gosiba"-
